On my way to School...

... on Bird, my 5 gated mare. I stored corn and oats in the coal shed at School to feed her. I recall one time the rope she was tethered with came un-tied. She went home, with out me. I had to walk home. Was not the first time I walked and would not be my last. Some of the kids lived close to the School and some lived as far 2.5 miles. The Elliot's and myself lived at the limit. Any further and we would have been in another School district.
